About Us - Stratton Thorpe Mortgage Solutions was started in 2019 by Julian Stratton and Peter Thorpe. Our team has over 85 years of mortgage industry experience.
Together, we have advised and helped thousands of people secure their dream property. These include first-time buyers, homeowners wishing to move up and down the property ladder or remortgage, and investors securing a new business venture. You name it; we have probably helped find a mortgage for it.
Based in Oxfordshire, we operate in Banbury, Brackley, Bicester, Kidlington, Oxford and all surrounding areas. We guarantee a free, no-obligation initial consultation with flexible appointments to suit you and your busy lives. In short, your convenience is our priority. JULIAN STRATTON

With over 30 years of experience working in Financial Services, initially with Pearl Assurance plc, followed by 23 years at Countrywide, the UK’s largest mortgage brokers. Julian started as a Mortgage Consultant, he was then promoted to a Protection Specialist. From 2001 he worked as a Senior Regional Manager in Financial Services.
Julian’s expertise has helped to train and develop many of the area’s current mortgage brokers. He qualified with the full Level 3 Certificate in Financial Services in 1997 and the Mortgage Advice Qualification in 1998.
Father to a teenage son and a younger daughter who is a Type 1 Diabetic. Julian personally understands the financial and emotional impact the condition can have on a family’s financial wellbeing. PETER THORPE

Peter started work as a Mortgage Consultant at Countrywide in 2005. Initially, he worked alongside Julian and was quickly promoted through the levels as he qualified and gained experience to become an Executive Mortgage Consultant. He moved to a Senior Sales Manager position, overseeing several top-performing teams to become one of the company’s most accomplished managers.
Peter holds the full CeMAP Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice.
Peter moved to Banbury in 2004 from Tamworth and is married with a son and daughter. In his spare time, he is a keen football player and fan.
